Sounds very plausible to me.
I think you hit the nail on the head. It sounds quite ambitious, a little bit like Bethesda's Radiant AI. I don't want to fall for the hype and be hugely disappointed when it comes out and I hope this isn't more market speak, but it's encouraging to see Jeff talk about emergent complexity, even if it was in the context of the combat system. Lets hope to see a sizable set of variables, and not just a great idea reduced to the exact and unchanging scenario as described in the interview (with the dragon) used as a bullet point on the back of the box, without any real cause and effect whatsoever. I suppose that's what worries me, it's such an ambitious idea and I just hope they can turn their ideas into something resembling the original pitch. I hope they haven't announced the awesome too early, only to cut it back in a year or so...

Also, Charr FTW.

So I just asked gaile in game about how this article says that there are clothes, and she said "I was curious about that also".

I"m so starting this rumour that there will be town clothes in gwen. If i'm wrong, it doesn't matter.
SCHWING!

Those Charr are absolutely >amazing<.

I hope dearly that the Charr are allies (at least they eventually become them!) this time around. I would love to fight side by side with a Charr.

^^d

I think someone said somewhere that in the PC Gamer mag it said the Charr were in a civil war due to the betrayal of the Titans. So it would definately be cool to fight with them and against them. Good charr vs bad charr!

EDIT: Btw anyone find the other pics Gaile hinted at?

yeah,,, its awsome i built up 11 characters to have it all come to nothing. gw 1 is going to be as usefull as D1 was after D2 came out. i thought the whole point of the continual campaigns and upgrading the original was to actually build somthing i could stick with instead of changing from game to game to do it. i dont play video games for a living but enjoy myself when i have the time. and it really annoys the crap out of me i cant take my beloved characters from guild wars into gw2. too much time invested to care,,, and to much to do at work (and ps i love my job) to do all this building over again.... Tell me about it! Oh man, all that building I did on my character in... well pretty much every video game I ever played. I wasn't able to carry that progress over to the sequels! OMG, I hate it so!

You don't play video games pretty much at all, do you? Because if so, you'd realize they are all like that. Learn something new everyday, huh?

Put a sock in it vermeer, we all have put time into out characters and i REALY doubt ANet is gonna make us start from scrach. You say things a ten year old says without even knowing what this is all about. Do you know what the hall of monuments contains ? No. Do you absolutely know that you wont be able to remake your characters as they were once you start GW2 ? No. Did Gaile say that you're gonna loose everything ? No. Did Gaile say we'll be able to keep our names, achievements, etc. to GW2 ? Yes. Are you a brainless monkey ? Yes. If you cant live with the change then quit.

I don't check concept art section in gallery of GW site regularly but they may be new concepts, may someone confirm this because they may be art from NF campaign which i didn't finish it yet until now and there is no date of posting of these concepts to confirm this.

Yes those are concept art for Eye of the North. They are being discussed in the thread for the press release on the official site, this thread however is about the article on a different site. So keep the threads separate.

^ It is from Eye of the North, new concepts released last night. I wonder what those guys are. I would say Male Norns but if they really are, they look very different from the female ones.
